Yes, I agree it's a big change. But we took steps to mitigate it: screenshotters have easy access to the font. We have had to keep the font out of the archives because we want the font design to reflect the core community's preferences rather than all users preferences, but it's still seen very widespread testing. If we can confirm the font substitution for Arabic, Indian and Chinese users, I'd be +1 making the change for 10.10.
