Static?" all of the above, when a track starts playing, it stutters for a few seconds ruining the first part of the music, it stutters again on nearly all tracks later during the playing of the musical piece, pops and static during the playback of nearly all musical pieces. It does not matter if store purchased music or not, MP3's are ripped @ 320kb hi quality settings. have some MP3's ripped @ lower quality with same result. Please keep in mind I am trying to describe a bad listening musical experience, I am not trying to be specific, the overall quality is just not good. I was TRYING to be "utterly ambiguous" on purpose, bad quality playback with good quality CD's and MP3's is what I'm reporting. Being specific about what the sound problem is distracts from the overall message that poor audio playback is happening. Harmonic distortion is not happening, what I hear now with PA makes it look like I have very poor quality recordings, and yet when I play the music on other devices like a stereo systems or other sound playback devices, the quality is high. To be clear, when the music is played on a real stereo system, I have no problems with the audio quality.
