@hills You should have added the next line showing your movement to the menu to open the next window or app, which would make the travel to the close button on the right a longer wasted path. With the close button on the left you don't have to go far to open the next application.
Arguments can be made to prove either way is better or worse. If everyone had used their energies to motivate Mark and his team to add an easy way to adjust the window buttons in the Appearance Applet instead trying to debunk the actual placement of the buttons, then at least and easy GUI HowTo could be made for showing those who wish to put the buttons on the left an easy way to do it. Instead we have to now either give them a full terminal command to put the buttons to the right or a command to open gconf, then walk them through making the change. I really do not see people coming to Linux or ubuntu looking to find a Windows look-a-like. -- [Master] Window Control buttons: position/order/alignment https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/532633 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
