I think Plymouth is causing a myriad problems. (1) is this key freeze issue (2) Computer freezes right after fsck flashes across screen
I have (2), which I believe its still this bug : https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/plymouth/+bug/510524 All relating to Plymouth. Or at least some configuration file is being updated relating to Plymouth.
