That's my problem. I installed Ubuntu for the first time 2 days ago and could not get it running. It either freezes up just after log in or, if I am lucky - the moment I move my cursor over a link. Not knowing the operating system I then tried to re-install. What a mess. I ended up with 5 partitions on my hard drive. Luckily with XP on the first. I then deleted the other 4 partitions and started over. With Ubuntu installed for the 3 time and the problem still the same - PLEASE HELP??? My desktop PC: MSI motherboard with 945GCM chipset E4500 Core 2 Duo Processor 2 G mem Not clued-up with typing commands at all.
