...sorry to stretch this out...there also appears to be a large portion of what I'll call 'namespace' missing from 'Authorizations', i.e. "Applications | System | Authorizations". All that is visible is "org | feedesktop | policykit" with the following items within the "policykit" subsection "Revoke authorizations from other users", "Read authorizations of other users", "Modify defaults for implicit authorizations" and "Grant authorizations to other users". That was true immediately after installation and after applying updates.
