You could try the following procedure, which will help but won't really tell us what's the root problem: - run users-admin for the first time - type 'ps ax | grep -i backends' - reproduce the procedure once again
This way we would know if the tools are started the first time, possibly with a delay. But I'd need the help of a D-Bus guru to get the required logs.
