I tried setting the kernel parameter on a Jaunty install and it _appeared_
to fix the problem but I haven't made any long calls yet (it was midnight
afterall). Will feed back if it doesn't work.

Haven't tried the kernel as I would rather have the ubuntu patches. Oh and
_please_ will somebody fix pulseaudio on ubuntu
