This is probably the only issue I've seen through the last couple of releases that affects everyone, in everyday usage scenarios, was security related (security updates might go unnoticed) and was disagreed with that much. Maybe I just missed some discussions, but this is the first one in ~3 years as far as I'm aware. This issue will not die for the next year or so. After the release the number of duplicates will just start increasing.
