** Description changed: Binary package hint: xorg xorg appears to be segfaulting every night. It doesn't seem to happen at exactly the same time, so I suspect it's not e.g. an interaction with a cron job, and maybe has more to do with how long the computer has been idle. I am running 8.04.2 (recently upgraded from 7.10, under which I didn't have this problem), and using the "radeonhd" open source driver (see below). (I also got nightly segfaults when I was using "fglrx" under 8.04, although I was never able to get a backtrace on those so I don't know for a fact that they were the same.) I am attaching a gdb backtrace, xorg.0.log, xorg.0.log.old, and xorg.conf. This crash appears to be happening in pixman-image.c. When the crash happens I get returned to the gdm login screen, and I can re-log-in without problems, but of course any applications that I was running at the time are unreachable and have to be manually killed. Thanks to anyone that can help!
