I have made the logs you requested and I discovered an interesting thing. Dell provides an utility for Ubuntu to disable Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or both (Airplane mode). In order to get the logs, I disabled Wi-Fi (Bluetooth was already disabled, although I think it is quite irrelevant, I note it just in case), rebooted, and wired connection was working!
The logs on all wireless disabled, wired connection working (ended in .log). I reenabled Wi-Fi, rebooted, and I could not connect via Ethernet anymore. I tried disabling Wireless networks from NetworkManager but wired connection was still not working. The logs on Wi-Fi enabled, Bluetooth disabled, wired connection NOT working (ended in .log2). My third test involved disabling Wi-Fi in Dell's utility but not rebooting, but wired connection was still not working. -- Latest Kernel stops Dell Mini 9 wired ethernet https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/330355 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
