Hi,
have the same problem (intrepid, 2.6.27-9-generic kernel), but as I'm no 
expert, I'm scared to recompile the kernel as David Morgado suggests. Does 
someone know if the problem will be fixed soon?

The printer for example isn't recognized right now, even though it is in
the list. So I have to restart the laptop (Dell Inspiron 1501) very
often to make my devices (also external HDD) work...
