In this case I can not imagine any reasonable circumstance that would
justify what he has done. Obviously, they can refer her to mental health
services without putting her on TV. The main kind of justification would be
if the clip being circulated is some kind of "before" interview, then she
went to treatment, became lucid and rational (and no longer delusional),
and in her recovered state did a second interview with McGraw, agreeing to
show the earlier interview so the public had a better understanding of what
a serious mental disorder was like.

The reason this scenario does not seem reasonable to me is that it would
mean that the show's producers are misleading the public between now and
the airing of the show about her actual health status, which itself is
ethically questionable.
