Hi israel, More on Live session: 4) Volume icon starts muted; I went to preferences and noticed Left Mouse Button Action set to 'Mute Volume' so I changed it to 'Show Slider'. 5) 'Open Mixer' from the drop down menu has no effect as it appears 'alsamixer' is not present. JackT.

More later. JackT. Is this a VM? That may be why you are not seeing the plymouth boot splash. certain computers have issues showing plymouth screens as well... Let me know how it goes. I had to use the terminal to 'poweroff'. 2) Live session: - NM indicator looked normal and connected wired connection okay. (This differed to Nio's Live observation). Volume icon starts with a muted X. 3) Installed okay: 'Shutdown Computer' worked. 4) Installed: Still not seeing plymouth splash on boot; I see it on shutdown though. 5) Installed: Volume indicator set as expected. 6) Installed: NM indicator looks okay and wired connection made okay. That's all for first observations.
