Yesterday Costin was headed to SourceForge and 3.x was abandonware. Today,
Costin is still very much alive and we are now arguing about the little
numbers at the end of the 3.x version. My plans remain unchanged: to learn
the 3.2 source as fast as possible. When that is done (hopefully in a week
or two), I'll see what the current state of affairs is. One way or
another, I _will_ be involved in Tomcat very shortly.

Again, this changes daily and is completely out of my hands at the moment.

I will definitely take some rather detailed notes on the design as I
learn, but I believe I will stay out of the e-mail fray. No one seems to
have any opinions on my ideas about it being a very hostile and shifting
environment for new developers to enter into anyway, so I sincerely doubt
that my documention posts will be missed. I do agree with your point about
putting up or shutting up, it's just a little difficult to follow the
situation at the moment.
