I create my favicons at favicon.cc  You may be able to do the same 
elsewhere, but that's what works for me.

After I've created and saved the favicon, the page generates an HTML 
snippet.  That's what I use, since I don't have hosting rights at my 
tiddlyspace site.

Grab that HTML snippet, and then paste it into the MarkUpPreHead shadow 
tiddler.  (Sorry, I don't have the TiddlyWiki instructions handy to show 
exactly where that has to be done, but if you look for favicon help you'll 
find where that snippet belongs.)

Save the changes, refresh the page, and your favicon should be visible.
