I also use OBS. It has a bit of a learning curve. It creates files, that 
are easy to process by youtube, with a good quality. ...

I don't do any editing, because it would need way to much time. All my 
videos are recorded in 1 go. ... Most of the time the 2nd or 3rd version 
will work well enough to be pushed to youtube. ... 

If I need to record a 5 min video 4 times, I need about 30 minutes. ... BUT 
it will be easy to waste hours editing 30 minutes recording into a 5 min 
video. ... So for me that doesn't make any sense.

It needs some planning, what I want to show. So I do make a "story book". 
... If there are too many items, to be shown in 1 video, I'll do several of 
them. 

I think, the most important thing is ... good audio quality!
