Hey Tania, Why don't you try '%cat /proc/pci | less' and see what it reports about your modem. You will be able to find the IRQ and IO. Then try linking it to COM 1-4, /dev/ttyS0-3. Definetly use minicom to see what's going on. And if it is indeed a WinModem that you are SOL. They are completely incompatible with Linux. I hope that this isn't the case for you.
