Tell me about it.
I still don't get it.  I use KDE, and the way I think about it is that it 
doesn't replace X, it lays on top of it and conforms to all of its 
standards, but adds it's own extensible, extendable extensions...Woah, just 
wanted to see if I could bring that phrase off...
