Hmm...I haven't tried printing envelopes, but I've been very happy
otherwise with my Brother printer.  I think it's hard to beat the Brother
B&W laser printers these days for price and performance.  I generally stay
away from HP at this point.

I got an MFCL2700DW.  Duplex print/scan/fax, mobile device
compatible/airprint -- the only thing it doesn't do is duplex scanning.
The wireless setup was a simple button push (because my router is
compatible), it's reasonably fast, small, and cheap.  So if you see good
envelope reviews of it, I can vouch for the rest.  :)
