While I'm quite capable of writing my own monitoring solution, I would much rather use an existing monitoring framework that already has all the nice UI stuff and a name that is recognized.
Also, it's not just servers I need to monitor, there are a bunch of Force10 switches as well as Compellant and EqualLogic storage systems.
