Tis true...but not because of technological reasons I think. right? Isn't it
more of just needing a spec?

I've seen code generated at apache turn into sun specs before. I'm sure it
can happen again. I view JSF in the same light I did EJB 1/2. A good idea
but horrible implementation. Maybe Tap5 will do the same that ejb3 is.
