When you bring up the Nokia Software updater; It is a screen that JAWS will not read on its own. This is when you would need to do an Insert+Spacebar, then press O for OCR then press W to tell it to try to read the text on the screen. You will need to make sure that the Nokia Software updater screen is Maximized first.
Like I said this is something that was included with JAWS 13 and above. So yes your version does have it as long as you installed the OCR file when you installed JAWS. Ie the file you should have also downloaded with JAWS was called FSOmniPage.msi. You can install this on its own if you haven't already done it. Then you would be able to use this functionality of JAWS to update your phone. Signed: Stephen Giggar Skype: dr-phone. Hardware eventually fails, software eventually works. Maybe look on the Freedom Scientific website and see what they tell you about its use. I am on many different e-mail lists, you don't appear to be on any of them, for instance access-uk and BCAB.
