You can certainly go ahead and update the firmware, but you may lose Talks,
this is why I did not do this myself as I did not have someone sighted
around to reinstall Talks. It may be an idea to make a note of the Talks
seriel number before the upgrade so you could then perhaps reinstall Talks
if it does get removed in the upgrade process.
