Yes this has been talked about! What you can try is to turn your punctuation
to NONE and then do your reading and copy of the text and I think your
results will be much better. In order for Talks to say the punctuation it
passes it off as its own word and that is why the copy works like it does.
That is why if you set it to none and then read the text and then do the
copy you don't get the punctuation as its own word and the like in it when
you go and paste it.
I'm not saying the copy function doesn't need work! I'm just giving you a
work around for the time being that I found when playing with the copy
function when it first came out.

Subject: [Talks] request for improving features in talks
Hi All,
lately I have not had the opportunity to read some of the list mail. so,
please pardon if it's already been discussed.
I would like to request for a feature to be improved in talks. the 'copy
text' feature that was introduced in talks some time ago, needs some
improvement.
at present, whenever one tries to copy some text to the clipboard using
the
talks key
+8 talks changes the format of the copied text along with adding extra
punctuations in the copied text. moreover, along with copying the sign for
|
or any other punctuation sign, it also pastes the litteral spelling of
that
particular word, for example, | verticleBar. This creates a great
difficulty
since one actually needs to reformat the pasted text. also while copying
long strings of numbers, such as phone numbers, it puts a space on its own
in between each of the digits, even if the original text was not like
that.
Request you to please convey it to the concerned.
Please help.
regards,
bharat.
