Hi Eleanor, very many thanks for coming back to me on this but I'm afraid that's a no go, the TALKS key followed by extended press of softkey 1 doesn't bring up the TALKS page, neither on my currently non-working C5 nor on an older phone that will run in offline mode but not accept a SIM card.
When you tried it, had you disabled TALKS in the menu first? Mind you, if you try that without sighted help about, you may end up temporarily in the same boat as me so I would advise against it anyway!!! Talks key and long press of the options key which is top left as the phone faces you. It is just below the screen. Take a good 5 seconds of holding down the long press! Now you are in Talks.
