You can, if you have talks muted or set your synthesizer to none before starting the FM radio application. At last that's how I got it to work on my Nokia E73 Mode. Really sucks that they haven't fixed that... I just thought of something that may possibly fix it. I'll test and get back to you in a couple of minutes.
