You could also use the 3, * (star), and call buttons. That's the method I used until I found out about the space, shift, and clear. So. Make sure your phone is off, then hold down those three buttons, then turn on your phone. This is to tell people that the Nokia Software updater latest version doesn't read the screen with JAWS 12.x if you update to the latest version. However you aren't given a option to not update and still be able to update your phone. The Nokia Software updater is what is used to update the phone firmware when doing it by computer.
