Hello all,

I decided to be a bit more enterprising and succeeded in getting the
10-minute demo of Talks installed on my now fully functional phone. I'm now
encountering problems trying to restore my license, or even using the 10-day
demo. The requisite SMS message is sent out no problem, but then I receive a
prompt to wait with a caution that it could take a few minutes. At this
point the phone simply sits there for considerably longer than a few minutes
(it was north of half an hour at one point). I'm not sure where to retrieve
my old license number so I can register it manually. Does anyone have any
suggestions?

Many thanks,
Michelle

Subject: Restoring Talks to freshly formated E71 phone?

Hello all,

Hope everyone's been well during my long hiatus from the list.

I've got a bit of a situation here, and I'm hoping you knowledgeable people
can help me out in some way. My Nokia E71 was recently behaving strangely
after more than two years of flawless performance. I encountered the "memory
full" issue that's plagued some people in the past, despite the fact that
more than half the phone's memory was available. To make a long story short,
I backed up my information, performed a hard reset and restored the backup.
All went swimmingly except for one key detail -- the Talks program got lost
in the shuffle! I obtained this phone through Rogers Wireless in Canada with
the Talks software pre-installed, so now I'm at something of a loss. Is it
buried somewhere unusual in the system? Do I reinstall from scratch? If so,
I'd be very grateful for some guidance on how to do this, as I haven't done
so before.

Thanks so much for your help -- I'm really hoping to have a functional phone
again soon!

All the best,
Michelle
