Thanks yes I know they will do their best to fix the issue and they release
many more updates than mobilespeak. At least with the e72 you can access
many punctuation symbols without having to use the symbol list.

Bernard,
the most recent updates to the devices are including fundamental updates
to Symbian on the phone and this is why it is braking accessibility,
albeit temporarily, until the next version of Talks is out.
the rule has always been, do not update, unless Nuance or a dealer says
its fine to do so. CF and MS will be just as open and susceptible to these
issues.

I understand that but it's only been recently say the last 2 or 3 updates
that have effected talks in this way. In the past you could update and
be fairly certain you would not lose accessibility. Now you can be
certain updates will cause more problems than they solve.

Bernard a warning was posted here several days ago I believe about
upgrading
to the latest firmwares of some phones. That is the risk you take when
upgrading your firmware. No one knows for sure what will work or what
will
not work when a new firmware version comes out. I am guessing that the
developers of talks do not get the firmware upgrades before you or I
would
so there is no way to test what talks will work with until they are
released. In other words the developers of talks have nothing to do with
what will or will not work in the new versions.

Well the latest update for the e72 totally removes web access I thought
it
only would effect forms to be filled in. Now when I load the blindsea
web
page you are only told how many links and headings there are and nothing
else.
So the browser is now totally inaccessible.
The symbol list again no longer works and if you try and select a
punctuation mark at random the letter i is placed where the punctuation
mark would be.
Perhaps I should get my spare e72 out of the box and swap the sim card.
I
did not update that phone so it still has the firmware where the email
spoke normally, the browser was accessible and the symbol list worked.
The
only problem I have is my third party apps are licenced for the handset
that has been updated.
I am wondering if phone updates effect mobilespeak in the same way.
It seems to be a very risky thing to update your phone if you also use
talks. Perhaps a talks rep should be advising the list of possible
complecations of implementing newly released updates. If not the list
then
the talks sms news feature should be used for this purpose.
