Myself i do not use the auto time update being i depend on the log information. All it takes is a parsel data time packet to wipe out the log. I've had this happen. So stopped using the auto time update being it causes to many issues for me. It isn't that hard to set the date and time if it need to be done.

I from time to time have this issue. On this phone. If removing the battery doesn't fix it, then i turn the phone face down and tap it a few times. So far it has fixed the issue the two or three times i have had this issue. This trick may or may not work on your phone. After all, it is a different model. Smile.
