Imagine an app where you'd click a shop, then you'd get a popup with a
logo(see my other proposal), a slogan, and a description. All of these
help a user understand what they're looking it.

Although I agree it's a problem, it's unrelated to the proposal. That's
a general OSM problem related to chains/brands with repetitive values.
It's not tag-specific. The same could be said about cuisine, name
translations, website, operator, etc.
