@Martin, I'm not sure about the status of the books but that's not the prominent feature of this place. I will go back for more details later but it is definitely not a library. @Stephan - neither Punspace or Guru's Box are tagged. I brought that fact up during the meeting we had there and nobody had any ideas. Punspace is similar to the place I'm reporting here except it is not free and available for short term rental only.
As for tags, maybe amenity=study_area along with fee=y/n, wifi=y/n There is only one instance of the term "study area" (without underscore) in the OSM world now. There are a few uses of meeting_point as well but this place was quiet when I visited and its occupants appeared to be studying — probably not a good place for meetings which usually involve conversation. The only photos I have are of the signage and there is no mention of purpose or intent on them. The coffee shop inside is called "Hangout cafe".
