Aside: RtoL scripts

Parsing and displaying native scripture references in Right to Left writing
systems that have their own digits presents its own further technical
challenges, especially when the chapter:verse and other punctuation marks are
not all localised.

The punctuation marks can play havoc with the bidirectional algorithm such that
one has to judiciously insert override characters.

I recall looking in detail in this subject when I did some work on the UrduGeo
source text. The fruit of this - alas - never made it to the module, but for
unrelated non-technical reasons.

Best regards,

David
