that. What would be involved in getting access to the crosswire SVN
server?

SVN is usually run over http port 80 or https port 443. I think that
crosswire runs over 443, but your school almost definitely allows
https. It shouldn't be anymore difficult than having someone setup
your repo and importing your files.
I'm sorry if it sounds like I am trying to do this solo. I did give
that impression, but it is mostly due to the fact that I'm terribly
busy right now and haven't had much time to explain all of the
changes and things that I have done, I don't have a version control
system, and in general haven't had much time to work on anything
for this. Also, this is the first time I have had much interest
from other developers because most had not learned the iPhone API
or didn't have the dev program membership. I'm a college student
with a 19 credit load and I just got 2 big papers dumped on me at
the end of the year :) Again, I'm terribly sorry if I sound short
or anything and I really do welcome all of the experience that
everyone else has to offer but was trying to wait till I had a bit
more time (ie. school is out).

Yes, I am packaging SWORD and clucene with it for now. This is
because neither of these will compile out of the box for the
iPhone so I had to change a few things to get it to work so it is
much easier to just distribute my modified version with the
package. I still haven't been able to get a few parts of the
library to compile at all, but they are non-essential, namely the
install and ftp managers. I wrote my own module downloader/
installer using iPhone native API calls. I also decided to do it
using the HTTP mirror instead of FTP because of the previously
mentioned college situation. Using FTP would make it impossible
for thousands of users in similar situations to use the module
downloader.
You do plan to get your changes into the official source trees?
This will make our lives easier, especially as sword continues to
evolve, we want to take advantage of new features.
It kinda feels like you want to take this thing solo, which I hope
is only a feeling I have and not in fact reality, but if it is let
me know so that I do not step on your toes here. I really would
love to help out and I am sure there are others as well. A
concerted effort is much more fruitful than a solo one, although
there are exceptions.
