I think we should have released 0.12.3 as the last QT 4.8.x version before
merging the simplegles-qml version.
Stellarium using Qt 5 and Mingw 4.8 requires many changes to get it anywhere
near the stage reached with Qt 4.8.x
Critical plug ins oculars, telescopes and satellites require fixes.
The sound needs to be re-written for Qt5multimedia
The start up splash needs to be restored
There is a problem with loading into and reading the user area
etc

yesterday I partially restored the unit test of source code - part of the tests
fails, the part we need to upgrade because the code has changes.
