As far as I know, its creator simply doesn't have enough free time for it. Currently, it's based on SQL, though it would be better if it could support OpenAstronomyLog: http://code.google.com/p/openastronomylog/ Here's a short list of programs that use it: http://code.google.com/p/openastronomylog/wiki/CompliantApplications >> You can build this branch - lp:~stellarium/stellarium/logbook - it >> have enabled LogBook plugin. > > Ok, I will try that one. I don't know if the separate branch contains additional work to what is already in the trunk. If you are using Bazaar for Stellarium, it's strongly recommended to use the "shared repository" option the first time you branch. This way, adding a new branch will require downloading only the difference with the trunk. >> Yes, you can contribute code for this plugin of course. > > Are most devs using a Qt IDE, or just command line tools? You can also run Stellarium from within it. I usually need the command line only when someone has submitted a patch. What do you mean by "GUI builder"? Qt Creator can edit .ui files.
