Hi WG, As a co-author, I support the WG adoption, and I am not aware of any IPR that applies to the draft.
· Do we need these different solutions? This document [draft-cheng-rtgwg-srv6-multihome-egress-protection] introduces a simplified multi-homing egress protection method. · Technical merits and drawbacks of each solution [draft-ietf-rtgwg-srv6-egress-protection] is relatively more complex. It needs to configure Mirror SID for the protected egress node on the backup egress node, extend the control plane to distribute the mirror relationship through IGP or BGP, and maintain mapping entries. [draft-cheng-rtgwg-srv6-multihome-egress-protection] just arranges the calculated SIDs of the primary and backup egress node in the SID list at the head node, and fast path switching can be achieved. · If there is any implementation of the proposals, please voice it. H3C has implemented the egress protection method described in [draft-cheng-rtgwg-srv6-multihome-egress-protection-05]. Thanks!
