It saddens me that I know a family which subscribes to your newsletter. (it's a good thing I went back over my email otherwise I would be stooping to the same level of ignorance as you).

of stopping spam. (And it may even be a violation of the Americans With
Disabilities Act which prohibits discrimination against the disabled) It is
rank hypocricy.

THIS IS LAUGHABLE...but Hey if you want to get into an ADA discussion...
Spamassassin's report being in plain clear text is very much in line with current regulation for accessability, as it's report being in plain text is easily read by accessability software. Now your newsletter on the other hand, with all the fancy HTML markup, embedded javascript, and html execution code, click able links with %'s characters in it... well let's just say it could easily be made a case that your news letter does not work with accessability software, and therefore discriminates against those which are visually impared.

NO ONE is forced to use spamassassin or any other anti-spam technology. If your subscribers or your ISP is making use of any antispam technology, it was agreeded to allow them to so, and they should examine their Terms of service agreements with their ISPs.

Just as your newsletter asks us to take the time to get educated and involved with autism, you should get educated about spam, spamassassin, and antispam technologies.

False positives are intolerable and commercial products that allow them
should be outlawed as much as spam should be.

I do not know if this is the right place to complain as I could not find an
email address that offers feedback to the company. This arrogance stinks,
too. As if software developers don't need public feedback about their junky
products.

If you took two seconds, you'd realise Spamassassin is NOT a commerical Product, but an opensource one, non commerical, worked on by volunteers fighting the good fight.

This piece of junk software rates my publication 99%-100% likely to be spam.
"* 3.0 -- BODY: Bayesian classifier says spam probability is 99 to 100%"

Ha! What crap. The offending email is also parked at this website page:

http://home.doitnow.com/~edit/index.htm

Bayesian Classifier is install specific and rates email based on mail based on what it's BEEN TAUGHT BY THE SPECIFIC SITE. In other words, if a bayes/bayesian classifier says your mail is spam, it's because it was taught to do so.

And yes, I did look at the offending email. And guess WHAT! it's a series of classified style ads (oops.. I mean calender of events)..

why are you including autoexecuting code? why are you including java script? why so many huge fonts? why are you using URLs which have to make use of % signs?

Why haven't you informed your subscribers that if antispam technology is being used on their systems, to add the sending address to their white/passthru lists since you obviously know your mail is so often misidentified as spam.
