Hi all,

I was perusing my procmail log file and have found that for some reason
since I upgraded to 2.60 bayes has been disabled. I turned on verbose
logging and saw the following

procmail: Match on "< 256000"
procmail: Locking "/var/lock/spamassassin.lock"
procmail: Executing "spamassassin,-D"
debug: Score set 0 chosen.
debug: running in taint mode? yes

debug: PATH included '/users/simon/bin', keeping.
debug: PATH included '/bin', keeping.
debug: PATH included '/usr/ucb', keeping.
debug: PATH included '/usr/local/bin', keeping.
debug: PATH included '/usr/X/bin', keeping.
debug: Final PATH set to:
/users/simon/bin:/bin:/usr/ucb:/usr/local/bin:/usr/X/bin
debug: using "/usr/local/share/spamassassin" for default rules dir
debug: using "/etc/mail/spamassassin" for site rules dir
debug: using "/users/simon/.spamassassin" for user state dir
debug: using "/users/simon/.spamassassin/user_prefs" for user prefs file
debug: bayes: DB_File module not installed, cannot use Bayes
debug: Score set 1 chosen.

debug: bayes: Not available for scanning, only 0 spam(s) in Bayes DB <

debug: bayes: 862 untie-ing

When I try to install DB_File using cpan I get

  CPAN.pm: Going to build P/PM/PMQS/DB_File-1.807.tar.gz

Parsing config.in...

Running make test

Running make install
make had returned bad status, install seems impossible

Can anyone give me a clue as to how to resolve this?

It won't.

in ~/.spamassasin SA will only run one file.. user_prefs... end of
story.

*.cf applies to /etc/mail/spamassassin, but not the user_prefs.
