No, I simply dragged and dropped the message using Outlook just like you
did.

If I do 'properties' from Outlook I do get the full headers, but it's
impossible to get those
outside Outlook (I think it has a backlink to the original message).
Through IMAP they're completely
broken.

Presumably there's some magic 'preserve headers' setting that makes it
work.  Damned if I can work out what
it is though.
