Rumor has it that Klaus Alexander Seistrup may have mentioned these words:

I've been running spamd under dæmontools/supervise with a run file
similar to yours for months -- works like a charm.

(You did mean supervise rather than tcpserver, didn't you?)

Yes, I meant supervise - I've been quite flustered with the problems I've been having with SA, and so my brain had a bit of a hiccup... (what I prefer to call a "brain-fart"... ;-)

Supervise is... supervising spamd quite happily, so that part is all good - but I'm still getting deferrals with no error message from ifspamh/spamc... :-(

( In a nutshell - any mail with an attachment that's 3+ megs in size, is being deferred, with some form of memory error -- or more recently, no error whatsoever, even though I replaced all the "deferral" exit codes (exit 111) with "continue" codes (exit 0) from ifspamh. I am currently stumped. )

I've given 120Meg of RAM to spamd, and I've yet to see it spike higher than 21M - I think my problem is somewhere between /bin/ksh, ifspamh & spamc... but I can't find it...

Anyone using spamc/spamd on qmail with something better than ifspamh?

Thanks,
Roger "Merch" Merchberger
