[SAtalk] Related to spamassasin paramters

Hi

 

      I have configured the *spamassassin* with spamc/spamd with using the
mysql database.. I have configured only two users..

 

The spamd is running as follows:

/usr/bin/spamd -d -a -x -q -u spamall -m 4

      Now just for experimenting purpose i have entered into an userid(manager1) which
is not set for checking the spam filtering into the mysql database... I have
executed his mailbox as follows:

server [manager1 mail]$ sa-learn --spam --mbox spammails
Failed to create default user preference file /home/sites/site61/users/manager1
.spamassassin/user_prefs
Learned from 224 messages.
___________________________________________________________________________

 

I checked the manager1 directory , i found *.spamassassin* direcotory has been
created, useing all the necessarey files including the baysin database....

Now my question is, as the setup is configured with mysql database why the
*.spamassassin* directory has been created? Moreover   spamd is being executed
with *-x* parameter...

 

Please clear my confusion...
