Thanks for the input, but I think you're missing the whole point of this part of the thread. The goal is not so much to get it working anymore. That's practically trivial - and the recipes you're using are available in a LOT more places than just the FAQ. You can find them in the docs installed with SA as well. The whole point now is to get procmail to recognize when spamc cannot connect to spamd, and use the standard | spamassassin -a method as a fallback.
