I'm glad that it doesn't happen to you, Simon. It happens to lots of other people. I can't reliably run Spamassassin on files over 30K, much less 100K. This probably depends on individual system configuration, as well as other programs and load on an individual server.
I've also been having trouble with running spamc/spamd on large files, though I have yet to profile just how large is large enough to give it a problem. It also doesn't seem to care if I use the -t or -s flags to spamc -- even with "spamc -t 90", I still get spamc processes just hanging around, sometimes for days at a time.
