we are currently at 2.55 as of today, and it appears to be functioning well.
we also use a product called MessageWall that is very effective as a front loader to our mail servers. We like the ability to throw the monkey wrench into the mix as the spammers have a bit more to contend with. What doesn't get whacked by MW is caught by SA I have been monitoring the MW interface and our MTA logs simultaneously, and it's like a concert :) Spam pigs can SMD as just about nothing gets through that even appears to be Spam. We have about 4 layers of protection, 2 of which I have mentioned here. We purposely have opened a backdoor for those who wish to use a raw IP address, and they immediately get listed in our own blacklist, and logs. I know there is no one solution to the problem, but there are solutions to keep everyone happy. My thanks go to the developers of SA and the other products we use. By the way, our MessageWall does one hell of a job at blocking the bounce messages when a spammer uses an address of one of our domains, to Spam their crap.
