Thanks for the reply Benjamin,

I think I have qmail set up to use tcpserver my tcp.smtp file looks like this:

# No Qmail-Scanner at all for mail from 127.0.0.1
127.:allow,RELAYCLIENT="",RBLSMTPD="",QMAILQUEUE="/var/qmail/bin/qmail-queue"
# Use Qmail-Scanner with SpamAssassin on any mail from the rest of the world
:allow,QMAILQUEUE="/var/qmail/bin/qmail-scanner-queue.pl"

Perhaps I don't have tcpserver running correctly or something like that? Actually it
is definitely running.

I also have spamd running with the -d -x -u parameters.

WHat else can I check for? Thanks again.

Do you have spamd running? Do you have qmail setup to use tcpserver? If
you're using tcpserver, you need to setup /etc/tcp.smtp to use
qmail-scanner-queue.pl if you haven't done that already.

I have the same setup with vpopmail+qmail+qmailscanner+spamassassin and it
works fine...
