I seem to have everything configured properly but I think I'm missing a small step somewhere in starting/running spamassassin.
The process seems to be running but sendmail either doesn't like it or doesn't see it. However, when I run the sample.pl against sendmail.cf it test fine. Below are the steps I've taken to verify/error check myself. Any help would be great thanks. Sendmail: 8.12.9v Milter: 0.18v Spamassassin: 2.55 sendmail.mc: define(`_FFR_MILTER', `1')dnl INPUT_MAIL_FILTER(`spamassassin', `S=unix:[EMAIL PROTECTED]')dnl I start spamd as root: (/usr/local/bin/spamd -x -d -u spamass -p 12000) check the spamd process: spamass 47769 90.1 26.8 16992 16384 ?? Ss 7:53PM 0:05.89 /usr/local/bin/spamd -x -d -u spamass -p 12000 (perl) netstat for for a lister: tcp4 0 0 localhost.12000 *.* LISTEN (wait 2 minutes) Starting sendmail (/usr/sbin/sendmail -bd -q30m) and I get an error: WARNING: Xspamassassin: local socket name [EMAIL PROTECTED] missing tail sendmail.log: Jun 7 19:53:23 homer spamd[47769]: server started on port 12000 (running version 2.55) Jun 7 19:55:33 homer sendmail[47778]: starting daemon (8.12.9): [EMAIL PROTECTED]:30:00 tail sendmail.log again with inbound message: Jun 7 20:11:07 homer sendmail[47846]: h580B7qT047846: Milter (spamassassin): local socket name [EMAIL PROTECTED] unsafe Jun 7 20:11:07 homer sendmail[47846]: h580B7qT047846: Milter (spamassassin): to error state (message is then handled normally) __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
