| Ronan should have provided more information : I guess he's
| talking about some problem found by amavisd-new's author.
| The bug and patch is listed on http://www.ijs.si/software/amavisd/ on
| Tips and FAQ -- spam scanners (Mail::SpamAssassin) section :
| <<
| There is a bug in Mail/SpamAssassin/EvalTests.pm in routine
| check_for_faraway_charset_in_body (at least in all version between 2.31
| and 2.43). It causes Perl to go in a CPU loop, and amavisd fails to
| continue service, or reports timeouts. Either apply the patch, or
| disable CHARSET_FARAWAY_BODY test by adding a line score
| CHARSET_FARAWAY_BODY 0 to the SA config file
| >>
|
| Patch is available at :
|
| Is this problem fixed on the CVS version - and hopefully next release ?

We had a short conversation on the topic a week ago,
and according to Dan and Theo, the fix is now in the 2.4x CVS.

The 2.50 does things differently (or will have the fix, if the
check_for_faraway_charset_in_body code will be re-added).

  Mark
