I appreciate that, but choosing between "give a feature to some" and "don't give it anyone", I'm not sure that being identical on all platforms is ideal. Besides, UNIX sockets are pretty darned cross-platform. I'm not aware of any system that has "users" that doesn't have UNIX sockets. Finally, I propose none of this as default behavior. If I have my way, you will be able to run spamc/spamd via UNIX sockets as an option. If your system doesn't support them, then do what you always did. -Michael -- Michael Stenner Office Phone: 919-660-2513 Duke University, Dept. of Physics [EMAIL PROTECTED] Box 90305, Durham N.C. 27708-0305 ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by: To learn the basics of securing your web site with SSL, click here to get a FREE TRIAL of a Thawte Server Certificate: http://www.gothawte.com/rd524.html _______________________________________________ Spamassassin-talk mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/spamassassin-talk
